DPW Yard is Open to Residents on the  1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 7:30am to 1:30pm

Free Mulch Available - The Public Works Department has mulch available for Lumberton Township residents only. It is piled next to the waste oil shed in the parking lot directly across the street from the  Municipal Complex.   There is NO topsoil or compost available.

 We encourage you to label your recycle and trash containers with your house number or some other identifying marking, this will help locate your containers if they are missing. 

 The Recycling drop off Center has been moved to its new location on Chestnut Street.  The facility is located just past the FLW School towards Rt. 38.  This will include all paper, cardboard, bottles & cans.  If you have any questions please call the Township building at (609) 267-3217. The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining all Township owned property including buildings & grounds, recreation parks, athletic fields, roads, drainage systems, street signs, sidewalks, vehicles and equipment. All collection of trash is coordinated thru Public Works. This department works very closely with officials of Burlington County in all areas of the State mandated recycling program.

Brush is collected curbside and chipped by the Township. Brush is considered to be shrub and tree branches between 2 inches and 10 inches in diameter. Brush shall be stacked near the edge of the roadway with the cut ends all facing one direction.

Due to the need of residents this time of year, brush collection will be done on the third (3rd) full week of the month on your regular trash day.

•  Week of March 6th on your regular trash day

•  Week of April 3rd on your regular trash day

•  Week of May 1st on your regular trash day

•  Week of June 5th on your regular trash day

•  Week of July 3rd on your regular trash day
(pushed back one day due to the 4th of July Holiday)

•  Week of August 7th on your regular trash day

•  Week of September 4th on your regular trash day
(pushed back one day due to the Labor Day Holiday)

•  Week of October 2nd on your regular trash day

•  Week of November 6th on your regular trash day

No Bulk Collection the month of December

The above items will not be picked up or disposed of by the Township.  The property owner shall make arrangements with a private company for their disposal.  (Chapter 162 of the Lumberton Township Code Book)
